This is the first and most important step in the design process. It is where we get together and work out the details of your project, and what it is you would like to achieve.

Once we have established your objectives, and developed a brief for the project, the design work begins. During this stage I will undertake research, develop preliminary sketches, gather materials and images to present a concept design to you.

After the initial concept has been presented, I will take on board your feedback and refine the design. This involves resolving the finer details of the project, such as floor plans and furniture layouts, custom joinery design, and materials, finishes and fittings selections.

Depending on the nature of your project, I can work with required professionals to develop documentation for your project. This includes a full set of drawings so that the project can be submitted for any required permits and certifications, and a builder will be able to accurately price and construct the project.

Once a builder has been appointed and the construction process begins, I can be on hand to answer any questions or issues that arise with the design. I also perform regular site visits to ensure that the project is being built in accordance with the design intent.

Once your project has been completed, I can assist with the finishing touches that may be required for your space. Including sourcing, ordering and installing furniture, soft furnishes, art and accessories.
